Try to go for the harder to reach zombies first when you can. You lose by running out of bullets while some zombies are still alive. You beat a level by defeating all the zombies on it by the time you use your last bullet. You can go back and replay previously beat levels at any point in time. Each stage of the game has 30 levels in it, for a total of 120 levels throughout the game. This game has 4 stages which you can play in any order, though the game gets harder as you advance through the 4 stages. Some levels contain complex layouts including narrow passages or switches you have to activate to create openings for your shots. You can shoot zombies directly, or knock things into them. You are given a limited number of bullets on each level to defeat all the zombies. The level select screen shows how many stars you earned on each level. It also shows your stars earned and stage-based scores on each stage. The stage select screen shows your beat levels, total game score, and cumulative stars across the top. Your remaining bullets show in the lower left. Your current level score shows bottom center. If you have already beat a level it shows your best score on that level in the center of the screen for a brief period of time.

You can play the 4 stages in any order, but within each stage levels are unlocked sequentially. Press the PLAY button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to bring up the stage select screen. Finish the zombies off using few shots to earn a high star rating. Use a limited number of shots to hit or knock things into all the zombies on each stage.
